Murray: “Why are you back here again?”
Simone: “Just wanted to tell you something.”
Murray: “Alright then, what do you want to tell me?”
Simone: “Can I come in first?”
Murray: “What for?”
Simone: “It’s necessary.”
Murray: “Do you have something important or confidential to tell me?”
Murray had stepped aside for Simone to enter, closing the door as he did so. He then watched as Simone had sat on his own bed.
Simone: “Yeah, it’s very important and very confidential. Can only be shared between the two of us.”
Silence followed, before he continued. Murray approached curiously and cautiously, remembering the closeness they shared the last time.
Simone: “I’ve grown attached to you, Murray.”
Murray: “Um, congratulations I guess? I have someone who cares about me now, but why is this so important?”
Simone: “You didn’t get it, did you? It’s not the typical affection between friends.”
Murray: “When were we friends in the first place?”
Simone: “Oh, we weren’t? Then, that would make this transition a bit… rigid would it?”
Murray: “What do you-”
Murray couldn’t finish as Simone grabbed his arm and pulled him closer to the bed. Both of the men colliding, and on top of each other.
Simone: “I’m in love with you, Murray. Did it not become so obvious when we shared that kiss?”
Murray: “But you were..”
Simone: “Sober? I wasn’t. You were fortunate we were in public, our status were on the line. You could’ve seen how much fire I can have in me, but it was too early for that.”
