A knock was heard on the door.

Murray: “Who’s there?”

A voice answered back, “You would know if you had opened the door.” The voice was a masculine and sophisticated voice. Quite soothing too.

Murray still held some suspicions.

Murray: “Identify yourself first, and then I’ll decide.”

???: “Fair enough.” ???: “I am one of the nobles of the High Branches, and I assume you are too, judging that Seymour recommended that you were the first one I should talk to.”

Murray only let out a sigh, hearing that bastard’s name again. Not like he held any grudges against Seymour, he just didn’t like to remember how annoying he was.

Murray: “There are only three nobles in the High Branches, and I was the one he chose first. Of course.” A tone of annoyance evident in Murray’s voice, and a silence followed before he continued.

Murray: “So be it.”

Lazy as he was, he took the initiative to get off of his comfy bed, making his way to the door. But then he had stopped, directly in front of the door.

Murray: “Hold on, you haven’t even told me your name.”

???: “Ah, my apologies, I seem to have skipped that part. Pardon me as I try again.”

A moment of silence.

Simone: “I’m sure you know of me, despite the fact we’ve only met thrice at meetings. Simone, Simone Fraser.”

Simone gave Murray a moment to process the name.

Murray: (Oh, it’s that mutt.)

Murray: “So it’s you.”

Murray turned the doorknob, and opened the door to see the elegant canine once again. It’s always a neutral pleasure whenever he came across this noble, but better than the other one at least.

Simone: “So you do know me. Was afraid I had to go through some more long introductions.”

Murray: “I’m patient. I can sit around for an hour longer.”
